Sequim — Sequim city councilor Ted Miller has died.
Miller died Friday after suffering a stroke.
In a prepared release, mayor William Armacost said, “We are all saddened to hear the news of Ted’s passing. He was an extremely kind and compassionate human being with a great sense of humor. Ted has served the community for more than ten years with his work on the Sequim City Council and numerous boards and commissions. His experience and insight will be sorely missed. Our hearts go out to his family and loved ones.”
Miller was elected to the Council in 2009 and was serving his third term in office. He served as Mayor Pro Tem (now Deputy Mayor) in 2012 through 2013, again in 2016 through 2017, and was re-elected by the City Council to that position in January 2020.
The family requests no flowers but will be including memorial information in a forthcoming obituary.
A memorial kiosk will be set up on the Civic Center Plaza, 152 West Cedar Street. The community is welcome to leave cards and condolences that will be given to the family.
