SEQUIM – Meredith Arseneau is the Food Service Director for the Sequim School District. She and her team are working hard every day to provide free meals to all kids in the District through age 18.
Meredith tells us that she has two people making breakfast and lunch for about 300 people a day, and 4 staff members who drive the meals along 4 separate bus routes each day.
“We’re doing some deliveries. We have volunteers dropping meals off at some families that aren’t able to get out, and then we also have bus services where we’ve got routes that are listed on our website, the Sequim School District website, of where families can meet the buses from 9:00 until about 11:30.”
Families can also pick up the meals themselves at either Grey Wolf Elementary or at the Middle School.
