UPDATED TO INDICATE SEQUIM AREA LAVENDER FARMS WILL STILL BE OPEN AS PART OF THE FESTIVAL WEEKEND
SEQUIM – There will not be a Lavender Festival in Sequim this year.
Due to uncertainty in reopening guidelines from the coronavirus pandemic, the Sequim Lavender Growers Association Board and festival staff decided to scrap this year’s festival at Carrie Blake Park.
It appears most of the farms that are also part of the festival tours will be open during the week. The festival with vendors and music at the park will not be happening.
The festival weekend was July 17-19th.
The festival becomes the latest in a line of local events that are being shelved or postponed this year. The Sequim Irrigation Festival was bumped from this week to October.
The Juan de Fuca Festival of the Arts usually held Memorial Day weekend in Port Angeles was also canceled.
