SEQUIM — The Sequim City Council Monday night approved the development of a Tourism Sustainability Grant program to be funded with $50,000 from the City of Sequim Lodging Tax Fund.
Non-profit tourism-related organizations within the Sequim School District boundaries are eligible to apply.
The intent of the grant is to assist organizations with funding that is essential to the on-going operations or to adapting to new covid-19 public health guidelines.
The grants will be awarded up to $5,000 per organization.
Applications are due to the City of Sequim by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, June 1. Recommendations will be made for approval to the Sequim City Council at their June 22 meeting.
