CLALLAM COUNTY — Clallam County Health and Human Services received notification this afternoon that State Secretary of Health John Wiesman approved Clallam County’s request for a variance to move to Phase 2 of the state’s Safe Start plan for beginning June 1st.
Kitsap County was also approved today, making it a total of 26 counties that have now been approved to move to Phase 2.
This means that Phase 2 eligible businesses will be able to open on Monday.
Businesses authorized under Phase 2 include:
- Hair and nail salons
- Restaurants and taverns (at 50% capacity)
- In-store retail (at 30% capacity)
- Remaining or in-progress construction
- In-home/domestic services
- Pet grooming
- Professional services/office-based businesses
- Real estate
- Indoor religious services (at 25% capacity, up to 50 people) and in-home gatherings with up to five people from outside your household.
In Clallam County, overnight camping will be allowed once the remainder of the state moves into Phase 2
