PORT ANGELES – After nearly two weeks without a new case, Clallam County has two new positive COVID-19 patients.
County Health Officer Dr. Allison Berry Unthank says one of the cases is a man in his 80’s who contracted the virus outside of Clallam County. That man is in the hospital. The other case is a man in his 20’s with exposure from inside the county. Unthank says staff are investigating both cases today to find out if there were any other exposures from them.
So far, 2,578 people have been tested in Clallam County. Of the 27 positive cases, 25 have fully recovered. Three patients were hospitalized, but there have been no deaths.
As of Tuesday, the county was awaiting results of 43 tests.
