More PA parks facilities reopen

PORT ANGELES – The city of Port Angeles has reopened more of its parks and recreational facilities.

As the county moved into Phase 2 of the state’s reopening plan, Port Angeles officials now have fully opened the Ediz Hook Boat Launch and all open spaces, playgrounds and trails within the PA parks, including the Waterfront Trail

And now the city has also reopened the Lincoln Park BMX Track, Erickson Playfield tennis courts, and the Elks Playfield pickleball courts.

Parks officials say there are still some things not open until the county reaches Phase 3. That’s when the city will start renting park facilities again. Also reopening in Phase three are the Erickson Skatepark, Lincoln Park Dog Park. All athletic fields and courts at Civic, Elks, Lincoln, Shane, and Volunteer fields will be available for formal practices. Small events will again be allowed at the Vern Burton Community Center. Also Phase 3 will mean formal burial services can resume at Ocean View Cemetery.
