PORT ANGELES – The Port Angeles Police Department has released sketches derived from the unidentified body that was found in the gully adjacent to the Clallam County Courthouse parking lot on January 11 of this year. They are seeking the public’s help in identifying him.
The attached sketches depict a younger version of the male along with what is believed to be a more current version of him.
It was about 1:45 that Saturday afternoon in January when police learned that the body of a man had been discovered about 200 feet down the gully at the east end of the courthouse parking lot. Police said it appeared the body had been there for several months and investigators did not see any obvious trauma that may have contributed to his death. They speculated at the time that the man may have fell or possibly been pushed.
Investigators searched for identification but found nothing. The man was wearing blue jeans, a blue shirt, and black tennis shoes.
County Coroner Mark Nichols told KONP in January that missing person Joshua Simiskey has been ruled out.
If you recognize the subject in the sketches, or have information that could help investigators, please contact Detective Trevor Dropp at (360)417-4945
