CLALLAM COUNTY – When Clallam County entered Phase 2 of the Governor’s “Safe Start” plan, county officials did so with one restriction: No camping. That has changed as of Tuesday, and we have a full report on the opening of county, state and federal campgrounds.

Olympic National Park campgrounds in Clallam County opened today (Wednesday) with the exception of Deer Park, where workers are gravelling the road. The campground will open at Deer Park when the road work is complete. See the Park’s website (here) for information on how to reserve a spot.

Washington State Parks will open their campgrounds on Monday, July 6. There are two state parks with camping in Clallam County. They are Bogachiel and Sequim Bay state parks, and reservations are required (click here).

Clallam County Parks opened camping today but sites must also be reserved. Reservations are being accepted (click here) for the Dungeness Recreation Area and Salt Creek Recreation Area only.
