PORT ANGELES – The number of positive COVID-19 cases climbed to 49 in Clallam County yesterday.

Health officials announced two more positive test results.

Clallam County Health Officer Dr. Allison Berry Unthank says the two cases are both close contacts to previous cases. One is a man in his 20s, the other is a man in his 50’s

So far, the county has performed 5,885 tests. There are about 140 tests still pending. Just three people have been briefly hospitalized since the pandemic began in March. There have been zero deaths and 38 of the 49 cases have now fully recovered.
