Mariners announce promo to get your own cutout placed in the stands during games

SEATTLE — There will be no fans in T-Mobile Park when the Seattle Mariners take the field this season, at least not in traditional sense. But the organization thinks they’ve come up with a way to fill the seats anyway.

The Mariners announced this week that fans will have a chance to purchase what they’re calling “Seat Fleet” cutouts of themselves. Fans can submit photos of themselves that will be turned into life-sized cutouts.

The price for each cutout is $30, and the Mariners said they’ll donate a portion of the proceeds to non-profit organizations supporting coronavirus relief efforts.

The Seat Fleet cutouts will be placed at random in the lower level of the park’s seating. If a foul ball hits your cutout, that ball will be mailed to you.

The Mariners begin the abbreviated season July 24 on the road against the Houston Astros. The pre-game show starts here on KONP at 5:00pm.

The home opener will be July 31 versus the Oakland A’s.
