RENTON — There will reduced fall high school sports in Washington this year.
The WIAA executive board voted Tuesday to move high school football, volleyball, and girls’ soccer and 1B/2B boys’ soccer due to COVID-19.
The modified schedule, will move those sports to early March.
Sports considered lower risk such as cross country and fall tennis will still take place in the fall but with a later start.
The WIAA says there will be four shorter seasons this year instead of three to accommodate all sports.
