CLALLAM COUNTY – A Forks Intermediate School paraeducator was arrested Thursday after confessing to having a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old student after receiving a tip from someone at the Quillayute Valley School District.

Clallam County Sheriff’s Detectives developed probable cause that 39-year-old Forks resident Tammy Leask committed multiple counts of Rape of a Child and had furnished the child with prescription medication and alcoholic beverages.

Leask was arrested at Forks High School Thursday morning and later admitted that she did have a sexual relationship with the juvenile from November 2019 to January 2020.

Leask told detectives the relationship started at school; with their first act of sexual intercourse occurring in the classroom. She says they continued their relationship outside of school and had sexual intercourse in several other locations away from the classroom.

Leask was booked at the Clallam County Corrections facility for Rape of a Child in the Second Degree and providing a controlled substance to a minor.

The case is pending prosecutor review for filing of formal charges.
