SEQUIM — Sequim’s School District Superintendent has been placed on leave.
School Board President Brandino Gibson says Dr. Rob Clark has been placed on leave pending the outcome of a complaint that has been submitted against him.
“You know, this is just a typical action that’s taken when there’s an investigation going on with a complaint. This is not a punitive action. Dr. Clark is just on leave at this point, while we have an outside investigation team reviewing the concern, and once this is completed, a determination will be made after that point. But this is just an action that’s taken just to protect all parties and the District during an investigation.”
While Gibson couldn’t elaborate on the extent of the complaint or who filed it, he did offer up this observation.
“The downside to this too, just on a personal note is, you know, there have been issues that we’ve had…a lot of districts around, that have had over, you know, over the last several years, and this is an action that probably should have happened but never did. And so it’s not comp-…people just like, ‘Oh my gosh! What’s going on here?’, you know, and this is just the right protective action, you know, so…anyway…”
