CARLSBORG – A Sequim man was arrested for driving a vehicle into a building in Carlsborg.
18-year-old Quinton Burroughs-Hernandez was arrested for hit and run and reckless endangerment and two outstanding arrest warrants.
At about five Wednesday evening, Clallam County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a business in Carlsborg where a Volkswagen Tiguan had apparently hit the building.
Near a heavily damaged building, deputies discovered the vehicle with damage to the windshield and its entire passenger side.
Deputies learned from two juveniles in the vehicle that Burroughs-Hernandez was driving the vehicle. He was located at his residence about a mile from the accident scene.
According to witnesses, Burroughs-Hernandez was driving the vehicle north on Mill Rd at speeds of 80-90 MPH in a posted 35 MPH zone. They say the vehicle blew a stop sign, went off the road, hit a fence and bushes, and then the building. When the vehicle came to a stop, Burroughs-Hernandez and two other passengers ran from the vehicle.
