Culp for Governor campaign suing State AG over election results

SEATTLE – KOMO News reports the campaign of losing GOP candidate for Governor Loren Culp has filed a lawsuit against Secretary of State Kim Wyman and the state of Washington, claiming that his civil rights were violated during the election.

The lawsuit alleges that Wyman allowed illegal ballots to be distributed and counted during the 2020 election, which disenfranchised legal voters.

In a statement, the Culp for Governor campaign claims that Wyman allowed ballots to be placed in the hands of the dead, those who had moved out of state, non-US citizens, convicted felons, and also failed to take steps to prevent people from receiving duplicate ballots, rendering the election illegal.

The lawsuit, filed in King County Superior Court, seeks an audit of votes cast in five Western Washington counties.

According to the official tally, Gov. Inslee won the election with almost 57% of the total, vs. Culp’s 43%.

Culp’s campaign maintains that those numbers can’t be trusted.

Wyman has not yet responded to Culp’s lawsuit.
