EDMONDS, Wash. — A logging truck lost its load on the Edmonds ferry dock Monday morning while exiting the vessel, trapping 200 passengers on board and shutting down the ferry route.
The truck was coming off the M/V Spokane just before 11 a.m. when witnesses say the front and rear sections of its trailer separated and logs spilled out on the ramp.
By 2:20 ferry officials said all logs, debris and vehicles were removed, the safety inspection was complete, and service was ready to resume at 2:25 p.m. out of Edmonds and 2:30 p.m. out of Kingston.
