PORT ANGELES – A Port Angeles woman was hurt when she was hit trying to run across Highway 101 east of PA last night.
The State Patrol says 25-year-old Kassandra Cooks was hit when she failed to yield to the crosswalk signal at Brook Avenue. She was stuck by a Chevy Suburban driven by 27-year-old Jessica Larsson of Sequim just before 10 pm.
Larsson made the call to 9-1-1 and was not injured. But Cooks was taken to Olympic Medical Center. Her condition is unknown.
The State Patrol says it will cite Cooks for failing to yield to the crosswalk signal.
