Vaccination registrations begin Thursday morning

By Pepper Fisher

CLALLAM COUNTY – Clallam County announced today the latest on the website to register for vaccinations.

The site is closed now but will open up at 9:00am Thursday January 28, at clallam.net, for people 65 years and older.

Once you get on the site and click on the link you will be directed to a reservation site. At that point you can choose between Port Angeles and Sequim locations for your shot, and you will be able to choose a date and a time slot.

You will be able to receive either a first shot or a second shot as appropriate. The intention is that this site will stay active for as long as vaccination clinics are offered.

If you already received your first shot and were given a date and time to return for a second dose, that date might change. Health Officer Dr. Berry says they are still working on that.

What we know is; when you register for a second dose, bring the immunization card you received with your first shot to your second appointment in order to ensure you are receiving the correct immunization on the appropriate date.

If you have lost the immunization card you received with your first shot, you can access your record through the Washington State Immunization Information System. You will need to register by clicking the link included on that registration page.
