BURBANK, Wash. — Police say they have recovered the 400-pound playground slide that was stolen from a Pasco, Washington playground.
KEPR News reports that someone stole the massive slide in December. Then, on February 26, detectives came face-to-face with the slide inside a kid’s bedroom in a mobile home in Burbank. Pasco police say they made the discovery while investigating recent catalytic converter thefts, which are stolen for their metals.
Police were executing a search warrant for the converters when they found the large slide, which had been repainted and mounted on a bunkbed.
Police arrested Dustin Bushnell for Possession of Stolen Property for the slide. No charges have been filed for the converters.
