PORT ANGELES – The Port of Port Angeles has reached a settlement for cleaning up the western Port Angeles harbor.
Yesterday, Port Commissioners approved a $1.7 million-dollar settlement in the case.
The Port’s payment is a portion of a $8.5 million-dollar settlement spread among several entities, including the city of Port Angeles and former mill operators.
The city of Port Angeles last month agreed to an $800-thousand-dollar settlement.
Like the city, the port’s settlement will be covered by insurance.
