PORT ANGELES – A cleanup effort for downtown Port Angeles will continue this weekend. And organizers are inviting the public to help.
The first annual “Big Spring Spruce Up” is extending into a planting party for this Sunday. The first part of the spruce up was held a couple of weeks ago, with the Chamber of Commerce’s Elevate Port Angeles re-envisioning for downtown. Some 75 people volunteers showed up to weed, pick up trash and clean the sidewalks.
This Sunday, the effort will partner with the Port Angeles Garden Club and City of Port Angeles to fill flowers and decorative planting for the garden beds throughout downtown. The garden club is also creating a floral display at the downtown fountain.
If you’re interested in helping, meet at 121 W. Front Street (where the ice rink was located) at 9 am Sunday. Drop ins are welcome which will run until 12 noon on Sunday.
