More primaries emerge for Clallam County races

PORT ANGELES – Another primary race has set up for a position on the Port Angeles City Council.

Friday, Jason Thompson filed to run against Lindsey Schroman-Wawrin. Also running for that seat is Jenna Stamper.

Yesterday, a primary race emerged for the Port Angeles City Council seat held by Kate Dexter. John Proctor entered the race bringing three now in that race.

Samantha Rodhal filed to run for the Port Angeles City Council seat against incumbent Mike French. There are now three people running for that seat, setting up a primary there as well.

Friday, two additional candidates for positions on the Port Angeles School Board. Former School District administrator Mary Hebert joined three other candidates running for the position being vacated by Cindy Kelly.

Also filing for another PA School Board Position was Lola Moses.

Kristi Schmeck refiled to challenge for a spot on the Sequim School Board. She joins three other candidates running for position number 4.

Jim McEntire filed Friday for position two on the Olympic Medical Center Board.

Karen Rogers filed yesterday for an at-large spot on the OMC board. It sets up a primary race for that seat as Heather Jeffers and Steve Blackham have also filed.

Filing continues through today for more than 40 local races on this fall’s election in Clallam County.
