SEQUIM — The City of Sequim is putting together a new online project designed to showcase local residents and their endeavors that support the tourist industry.
The People of Sequim project will present a variety of personal profiles to be used in digital marketing and social media.
Marketing Coordinator Patsene Dashiell has put out an “all call” to find the right people to help her shine a light on some of the unique experiences Sequim has to offer.
“It’s just a another way to tell the story of, you know, things to do in Sequim. You’re always interested to find out, ‘What brought you to Sequim? What do you do in Sequim?’ And there are a lot of people that have found really interesting things to do to make a living here or to contribute to the local community. So those are the stories were looking to tell.”
The project is planned to run beginning this month and ending in September.
Participants must be willing to submit to a short interview, have their photos taken, and sign a release form. Photos may be used in the City of Sequim’s electronic publications, websites, and on social media channels.
If you’re interested in participating in the People of Sequim project, reach out to Patsene Dashiell, no later than June 16, at pdashiell@sequimwa.gov, or by calling (360) 681-3421.
