BLYN – Law enforcement officials are looking for a Sequim man they say abandoned his 2 infant children in the parking lot of the 7 Cedars Casino early Saturday morning and drove away.
Surveillance footage shows that 38-year-old Travis Parker arrived at the casino around 5:00am and left the children unattended in the car while he went into the casino to talk to the children’s mother.
Deputies say Parker told her she needed to take the children because he had to go to work. The children’s mother says she asked Parker to take their children, who are 5 months and 1.5 years old, to her home and she would meet them there.
Deputies say Parker then walked out of the casino and put the children, still strapped into their car seats, behind their mother’s car in the parking lot and drove away.
The children were spotted by a casino customer a few minutes later who notified casino security. The mother was located and the children were returned to her.
Deputies have Probable Cause for the arrest of Travis Michael Parker for Family Abandonment and Leaving Children Unattended in a Motor Vehicle and are actively seeking his whereabouts.
