Area’s largest employer looking for hundreds of employees

PORT ANGELES – Olympic Medical Center looks to fill hundreds of job openings across its organization.

OMC will host two job fairs this week, hoping to entice more people to apply for the positions.

Shenna  Younger is a recruiter for OMC.

“We are the largest employer on the North Olympic Peninsula, and we continue to be rapidly growing. We are now over 1,600 employees, so a lot of this has to do with growth. But, just as other employers around our region have felt, there’s not as much of a pool of employees as we used to have in the county.”

Younger says OMC is providing some of the best pay now and the benefit package is probably the tops for any organization locally.

There are more than 200 job openings, running from clinic services to other work in administrative and facilities at OMC. The job fair is Wednesday from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at the corner of Front and Race Streets in Port Angeles. A second fair will be in Sequim Thursday, 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at 840 N. 5th Ave.
