PORT ANGELES — The new Dream Playground in Port Angeles will be officially dedicated tomorrow (Saturday)
Although the playground at Erickson Park has been open for a couple of weeks, organizers of the volunteer effort to build it wanted to hold a dedication ceremony that coincided with September 11th.
City Parks and Rec Director Corey Delikat:
“We thought it was really important to dedicate it on 9/11, which we did on the first playground and we really want to do it just to celebrate the 700 people that came out and worked on the playground. We had our challenges over the last two years, getting this project going between the pandemic and a heat wave, but it’s just amazing what this community can do.”
The ceremony will take place 3 pm Saturday.
