PORT ANGELES – Clallam County Emergency Management and Health Officials announced Thursday they are developing plans to host a mass vaccination event to administer Covid-19 booster shots to those who qualify.
The first event will be on Saturday, October 16 in the Port Angeles High School gymnasium. Starting tomorrow (Friday) at 9 am, you can fill out an application to make a reservation for the shot on the Clallam County website, which is clallam.net. If you or someone you know can’t get access to the internet, you can call the County’s message center at 360-417-2430 and someone will be able to help.
Booster shots will be available to people that originally received the Pfizer vaccine series. You must be over 65, over 18 with an underlying health condition or have a job that puts you at risk.
If you have NOT had a vaccine yet, you can sign up for that, too.
We’re also told that as the Moderna vaccine becomes approved for boosters, they will work to schedule those people as well.
