PORT ANGELES – The Clallam County Sheriff’s Office reports that shortly after they posted on social media that they were looking for a felon that had not registered as a sex offender, they learned that he had been arrested in Nebraska for armed robbery.
Trevor Franklin made bail in September here in Port Angeles where he was being held on multiple theft and stolen property charges, and he had previously been convicted in Spokane of Assault in the 3rd Degree with Sexual Motivation.
Because he failed to register as a sex offender after his release, a warrant was issued for his arrest. His girlfriend Breanna Campbell was also being sought on a warrant for theft.
Then yesterday, just hours after posting their mug shots on Facebook, the Sheriff’s Office received information that Franklin is believed to have committed an armed robbery of a liquor store in Nebraska on Christmas Eve and is in custody in Lincoln County.
Breanna Campbell was also taken into custody for her theft warrant. It appeared the two had been living in the back of a U-Haul truck.
