SEATTLE — The Washington State Department of Transportation has removed mask requirements aboard Washington State Ferries and in terminals.
The agency sent an alert last night to its social media and email subscribers announcing the requirement was dropped, but acknowledging the CDC’s recommendation to wear masks in indoor public transportation settings.
A federal judge in Florida voided the national mask mandate covering airplanes and other public transportation as exceeding the authority of U.S. health officials.
After the judge’s ruling, Sea-Tac Airport said masks are now optional inside the terminal. Alaska, Delta, United and Southwest airlines have now removed requirements for passengers to wear masks on their flights.
