PORT ANGELES — Peninsula Pirate Head Basketball Coach Donald Rollman has another prized recruit heading to the Pirates. 6’6″ 230-pound Max D’Amato scored 16 ppg and pulled down 7 rebounds per game for El Camino College in Torrence, California. El Camino members of the South Coast Conference is considered by many to be one of the top J.C. Conferences in the country. D’Amato played high school basketball at the DME Academy in Melbourne Australia. D’Amato is an outstanding shooter, shooting 53% from the field and 45% from the 3 point stripe.

There are lots of local high school teams playing today. The big game is boys soccer as the 7-2 Sequim Wolves travel to Bainbridge to take on the 9-0 Spartans. The Port Angeles Roughriders (4-6-1) host the 5-3 North Kitsap Vikings. Both games kickoff at 6:45.
In golf action the Sequim Wolves are home with Bainbridge and Port Angeles is home with Bremerton. Tee times are 3 pm.
