The first pitch for the Sequim – WF West game is set for 10 am Friday. The first pitch for the Port Angeles – Ridgefield game is set for noon. Both games will be broadcast live on KONP radio. Oly Archibald will have the live play by play.

Congratulations to Keeli Jade Smith of the Peninsula Pirates women’s basketball team. Smith has signed a letter of intent to play at Saint Martin’s College in Olympia. Smith out of Hilo Hawaii averaged 10 ppg last year leading the Pirates to a 2nd place finish in the NWAC tournament.

Also, congratulations to Peninsula Pirate shooting guard Jaylin Reed. Reed a fan favorite on the pirate basketball team has signed a letter of intent to Adam’s State College in Alamosa Colorado. Reed has admittedly talked about his prior problem with academics in high school. Pirate Head Coach Donald Rollman brought Reed in, and Reed worked hard in the classroom earning his degree. Pirate Nation wishes Jaylin the absolute best at Adam’s State.
