Two arrested after woman attacked and her dog stolen

PORT ANGELES – Port Angeles Police report that on Sunday around 1:00am they got a report of a strongarm robbery that occurred near First and Albert.

The investigation revealed that a woman was walking her dog when she was attacked by two robbers, who strangled her, hit her head against a wall, threatened to kill her, and then stole her dog.

The victim reported having trouble breathing and losing consciousness during the attack.

Officers didn’t have to look far to find the suspects, who were arrested two blocks away at the tree park. Unfortunately, the dog had already been given to another person.

Officers tell us there had been unfounded rumors that the dog’s owner had been mistreating her dog, whose name is Scarlet.

By the way, Scarlet was still missing as of Monday afternoon as investigators continue their effort to return her to her rightful owner.

The prosecutor is reviewing the case.
