Multiple businesses burglarized Tuesday night

By Pepper Fisher

CLALLAM COUNTY – At least two businesses were burglarized over night in Clallam County. Lietz Farm Supply and Hartnagel’s Building Supply reported on social media that they were robbed, and posted surveillance photos or video.

Photos posted by Lietz Farm Supply show what appear to be a man and a woman stealing gas powered mini-bikes and other equipment from outside the front of the store.

Hartnagel’s posted video footage of what could be the same couple inside the store stealing boxed items.

There was also an attempted break-in at Port Angeles Power. A store employee told us they cut through the fence, but that was as far as they got and it appears nothing was stolen. They also gave investigators video footage of a pair of burglars.

Chief Criminal Deputy Brian King said both stores that were robbed are missing small tools, and he agrees that it looks like the same couple did all three break-ins.

“All three locations had entry by cutting the external fences, chain link fences, gaining access. We have video from all three, potentially, all three locations. Other items were staged in the area for the theft, but we believe at some point that the burglars intended on returning for more property. But for some reason did not.”
