PORT ANGELES – The Department of transportation is about to start some repair work on Highway 101, but this time the work will be done at night to avoid some of the problems we saw earlier this summer along 101.
Beginning Monday night, August 22, travelers should prepare for possible delays through Friday between Port Angeles and Gardiner.
Lane closures or shifted lanes will be in effect as crews repair areas of the highway each night from 6 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.
Work will begin Monday in Port Angeles at Morse Creek. Crews will then move east to Pierce Road near Gardiner.
Out east, where the highway is one lane in each direction, travelers will see one-way alternating traffic with flaggers.
