Tacoma – 34-year-old Jeremy Jay Warren of Forks was sentenced Friday in US District Court in Tacoma to nearly 22 years in prison for his role in the murder of a 34-year-old woman on federal land belonging to Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

Also sentenced was 53-year-old Bobbie Pease of Tacoma, who received a sentence of 26 years for second degree murder.

The two men were housemates with the woman in the Tacoma area in 2018 when they drove her to a wooded area and murdered her with a baseball bat and 3 gunshots to the head because they believed she stole from them a drug pipe and a pocketknife.

The men left her body in the wooded area and disposed of the bat and the gun at various locations in the Tacoma and Spanaway area. The gun was ultimately recovered from the Puyallup River.

The two made calls to the police attempting to mislead them during the investigation by claiming the victim had moved out of state with another person.

On September 13, 2018, the victim’s body was discovered by railroad workers. Pease and Warren were arrested in late October 2018 after they had relocated to Forks to avoid authorities and following an extensive manhunt.
