In volleyball, Port Angeles and Sequim are now tied for 2nd place in the Olympic League. Port Angeles lost its first game, but then came back to win three straight over Kingston 26-24, 26-24 and 25-23. Sequim took 3 out of 4 games over North Mason. That sets up the Port Angeles at Sequim match up Tuesday at Sequim. Earlier in the year, the Roughriders shocked the much taller Wolves by sweeping them in three straight games in front of a packed Roughrider gymnasium. Both schools had a large and vocal student section, and the more vocal Roughrider students got into the heads of the Wolves players. It will be interesting to see how the Roughriders manage the crowd in “Wolf Country” this Tuesday night.

In soccer action, the Sequim Wolves ganged up on North Mason beating the Bulldogs 11-1. Wolves junior Taryn Johnson did her best Tobin Heath impersonation scoring five goals and dishing out one assists. Raimey Brewer had 2 goals. Ivy Barrett, Jenny Gomez and Kaia Lestage each had a goal. The Wolves have a big time show down with Port Angeles in Sequim on Tuesday night.

In NWAC soccer on Saturday its fan appreciation night as the Pirates will give away free food and prizes to its fans. The #1 ranked women will kick off against Everett at 3:30 pm and the men will kick off at 5:30 pm.
