Two more Washington men arrested in Jan 6 investigation

WASHINGTON — Two more men from the state of Washington were arrested on federal charges for their actions during the breach of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 last year.

34-year-old Tucker Weston and 33-year-old Jesse Watson, both of Lynnwood, are charged in a criminal complaint filed in the District of Columbia. Both men were arrested yesterday and made their initial appearances in court.

Court documents say Weston and Watson were roommates and traveled together to Washington, D.C.

Weston participated in removing a metal barricade being used by law enforcement officers to secure the area. He and other rioters then engaged in a confrontation with police officers on the West Front of the Capitol.

Watson, meanwhile, entered the Capitol through the Senate Wing Door, headed to the Crypt area and assisted another individual in displaying a banner on a pillar.

And yesterday, Rick Slaughter resigned from the Orting School Board of Directors after previously being arrested and charged for his involvement in the Capitol riot.

Slaughter and his stepson, Caden Gottfried, were charged earlier this month.

His resignation was effective immediately.
