PORT ANGELES – Clallam County Fire Marshal George Bailey officially lifted the total burn ban that’s been in effect since mid-September.
Effective Monday, October 24, recreational fires, residential burns and permitted debris burns are allowed.
Burn bans have traditionally been lifted around October 1, but Bailey extended the ban at the end of September, “until we experience a period of heavy, soaking rainfall”.
