PORT ANGELES — In volleyball action last night, the Port Angeles Roughriders (8-4) and 3A Bainbridge Spartans (4-9) gave the fans an entertaining night at Roughrider Gym. The Roughriders took 3 of the 5 for the win. The scores 23-25 25-23 25-20 22-25 and 15-10. Once again, the “old general” senior Lily Halberg could not be stopped. Time after time the Roughrider super star sent missiles through a Bainbridge defense that had no answers. It was a complete team effort on defense, and it might have been the Roughriders best team effort of the year.
