GRAYS HARBOR COUNTY, Wash. – A woman who was killed in a crash involving a log truck Monday in Grays Harbor County was identified as the wife of State Representative Jim Walsh.
The crash happened at Highway 101 at Milepost 70 at about 10:40 a.m., according to the Washington State Patrol.
Troopers said a Chrysler was traveling southbound when the car crossed the centerline and struck a logging truck. The driver of the Chrysler was identified as 58-year-old Jamie Walsh. The driver of the truck, a 60-year-old man, was uninjured. Both were wearing their seatbelts. The roadway was closed for several hours following the accident.
Jamie Walsh was a former Aberdeen School Board member and an architect. She and Jim Walsh had five children.
The crash remains under investigation.
