SEQUIM — Good news bad news for local soccer fans last night. The bad news the Sequim Wolves lost to Lindberg 3-1 ending the Wolves season. Taryn Johnson had the only Wolves goal. The Wolves end their season with a 8-7 record. The good news for Wolves’ fans is in just two weeks Taryn Johnson and her back-court buddy Hannah Bates start the 2022-23 hoops season and it could be a very special year for the Wolves basketball team.
At Peninsula College last night, the Roughriders trailed a very good Bremerton Knight team 1-0 after the first half and the upset alert was on. It did not last for long. Izzy Felton, who has had an outstanding season, scored a quick goal followed by two goals from her basketball back-court buddy Anna Perry. The 3-1 Roughrider win sends them to North Mason Friday night to take on #8 seed Lindberg. The winner of that game travels to Franklin Pierce Saturday to take on the winner of the #3 seed Sammamish – #15 seed Olympic game with that kickoff at 4 pm. That winner will continue to the state tournament.
