PORT ANGELES – Heading into election day Tuesday, Clallam County is reporting about 52 percent of ballots have been returned for tabulation.
Through the end of the day Monday, elections officials reported about 30 thousand of the 57 thousand ballots sent out last month were back. About one and a half percent of the ballots returned are being challenged for things such as signature errors.
Voters have until today to get ballots postmarked or in an official ballot drop box to be valid.
