Man sought for alleged theft of military memorabilia

PORT ANGELES – Local law enforcement are looking for a Port Angeles man in connection with a burglary that included the theft of valued military memorabilia.

Cops say Sean Della burglarized a home in Port Angeles a week ago Sunday. According to a Clallam County Sheriff’s office press release, Dela gained entry through a dog door and proceeded to take down paintings in the home and break open the door to the office and master bedroom. Both doors were locked.

Investigators say Della stole 24-carrat gold US Navy Wings as well as Naval Academy and Cody High School rings. Also taken: A Yamaha guitar, seven thousand dollars’ worth of jewelry, a Delta Airlines pilot uniform, military medals, awards and ribbons, and memorabilia from three generations including WW2 medals.

They say he tried to use a stolen credit card the next day at Swains.  Della was captured on the home surveillance video breaking into the house and on Swain’s surveillance cameras attempting to use the stolen credit card.
