BREMERTON — In high school basketball action last night, coach Kasey Ulin’s Port Angles Roughriders bullied Bremerton to a 72-43 blowout. The Riders were led by 6’5″ forward Isaiah Shamp who shoveled in 27 points. Parker Nickerson hit for 15 points and Bryant Hoch hit four three-point shots for 12 points. Kason Albaugh brought the house down when he put up a buzzer beater from half court that hit the glass and fell through the net. The Roughriders will travel to Renton high school on Monday with a 3 pm tip off against (6-4) Sammamish. You can hear that game live on KONP radio.

In girls action, Port Angeles beat Bremerton 58-29. Paige Mason led the way 10 points, Piper Williams hit for 9 and Lindsey Smith hit for 9 points.

The 2nd-ranked Sequim Wolves knocked off Bainbridge 38-31. Hannah Bates led the way with 13 points and pulled down 8 rebounds. Jolene Vaara had 11 points and Bobby Mixon hit for 7 points.

It’s NWAC action tomorrow afternoon at 2 pm the Peninsula Pirates will have a doubleheader at Shoreline. The Women tip off at 2. And the men tip off at 4 pm.

In high school bowling action the Roughriders were swept by Klahowya 7-0. Abby Robinson had 2 game high honors with 338. Taylor Worthington Bowled a 277 and Paige Pangro scored a 257. The Roughriders finish their season at Olympic today.
