PORT ANGELES – The Port Angeles Chamber of Commerce handed out winners in its annual Community Awards.
It’s the first time in two years the ceremony returned to an in-person gala.
The Citizen of the Year was Dr. Gerald Stephanz, noted for his work with the volunteer free health clinic locally.
4PA, a group cleaning up homeless encampments and helping find services for those without shelter, was named Organization of the Year.
Tommy Farris was tabbed Young Leader of the Year, Moss was named the Business of the Year and Welly’s Real Fruit Ice Cream was named Emerging Business of the Year. The Educator of the Year award went to Port Angeles High School teacher John Gallagher.
