Elizabeth Stanley appointed Family Court Commissioner

PORT ANGELES – The Clallam County Superior Court has a new full-time Family Court Commissioner. Elizabeth Stanley was just appointed to the position and is expected to take the bench on February 27 after a swearing in.

Stanley is currently the chief civil deputy in the Clallam County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. Prior to that, she was the prosecutor and attorney for the Quileute Tribal Court.

Stanley will fill the void left when Gov. Inslee announced in December the appointment of Brandon Mack to the Jefferson County Superior Court.

In her new position, Stanley will handle child-welfare cases, pre-trial domestic relations matters, Truancy and At-Risk Youth hearings, as well as restraining orders, settlement conferences, and preside at the therapeutic courts which serve families.
