SILVERDALE — In high school baseball action, the Sequim Wolves lost to Olympic 6-0 despite getting 5 solid innings of pitching from Toppy Robideau. Robideau pitched 5 innings with 7 strike outs and giving up just 2 earned runs. In the 6th inning the Wolves relieve pitchers struggled walking 2 batters and hitting 3. With an infield error the Trojans scored 3 runs in the inning without getting a hit. The Wolves travel to East Jefferson today.
The Port Angeles Roughriders beat Kingston 4-3.

The Roughrider girls fast pitch team upset Olympic on the road 7-6 in a continuation of a March 28th game. Cheyenne Zimmer got the win on the mound, pitching 6 plus innings with four strikeouts and two walks. Heidi Leitz got the save. Lily Halberg went three for four at the plate with a single, double and triple. Natalie Robinson was two for four with a double, triple and 2 RBIs. Taylor Worthington drove in two runs.
The Roughriders will host Bainbridge at 4:15 pm.
The Sequim Wolves travel to North Mason today and you can hear that game on KONP Newsradio with the Firehouse Grill Burgers and Fries Dugout pre-game show at 4 pm and the first pitch at 4:15 pm.

Peninsula Pirate women’s basketball coach Allison Crumb is at it again. After hauling in all-state basketball players, keeping three hometown stars and strip-mining Alaska of their gold nuggets, Crumb has now traded in her dog sled and parka for sun tan lotion and sun glasses. Crumb has gone into Mary Knoll High school in Honolulu, Hawaii and recruited a linebacker off the football team. Yes, you have read correctly, a linebacker. 5’8″ power forward Ciera Agasiva who was named the 13th best player in the state of Hawaii by the Honolulu Star Advertiser newspaper and is riding the “Hawaiian Express” all the way to Port Angeles. Agasiva actually played linebacker for her high school football team as a freshman but gave up it because she figured she could go farther in basketball!

Agasiva who is known for her toughness and clutch free throw shooting always has her big games against the top teams. In a game against three-time division 1 state champion Lolani, With Mary Knoll down by one, Agasiva forced a turnover. Then with two seconds left, the winning shot for a 47-46 win. Agasiva was 8 of 8 from the field and 6 of 7 from the line for 22 points in the game.
