PORT ANGELES – Two popular throughfares in Port Angeles will shut down starting Thursday (5/18) afternoon.
As part of the ongoing Race Street Improvement Project, parts of Race Street and 8th Street will be temporarily closed to thru traffic beginning at about 5 this afternoon. Race Street will be closed from 5th Street to 9th Street. Additionally, 8th Street will be closed from S. Francis Street to S. Chambers Street.
The shutdown is expected to be complete by 3:00 a.m. on Friday, May 19th.
Local access will be provided to residents during this closure. And detours will be marked for through traffic.
