OMC Board seeks Commission applicants

PORT ANGELES – The Board of Commissioners of Olympic Medical Center is seeking applicants for a just-announced commissioner vacancy in the At-Large position.

The position is vacant due to the resignation of Commissioner Heather Jeffers, effective June 30, who is relocating out of the area.

Qualified applicants must reside in any of the three hospital districts within Public Hospital District #2, which is basically all of Clallam County east of Lake Crescent.

The most qualified applicant will be appointed to serve until the next general election for the hospital district in November 2025. Minimum time requirements include two monthly board meetings, the first Wednesday of the month at 12:30 pm, and the third Wednesday of the month at 6:00 pm, and any additional committee work as assigned.

To apply, submit a letter of interest via the OMC website. The submission due date is the end of business day on June 5. The Board will conduct interviews of qualified applicants the second week in June so that an appointment can be made in public on June 21 at the regularly scheduled board meeting.
